L’article est une interrogation sur la destructivité, comment la penser et comment prendre position face ou avec ses manifestations. Sont considérés d’abord la notion d’ombre chez Jung ; puis la pulsion de mort chez Freud et l’intérêt de cette idée par rapport au fait de voir les origines de la destructivité dans des ratés de l’histoire psycho-affective et la haine qui en résulte ; et, pour finir, l’interrogation de Jung sur le mal et la figure du soi. Ce qu’est le mal est questionné et mis en rapport avec la destructivité, avec la dynamique archétypique de l’ombre et l’ombre du soi. L’idée de base soutenue par l’auteur est que la reconnaissance et l’acceptation de la destructivité en tant que réalité intrinsèque et irréductible ouvrent un espace d’accueil et d’amour, un amour sans condition et une forme d’humanité.

This article examines the reality of destructiveness : how it can be thought about, and how to take a stand in relation to its manifestations. After considering Jung’s concept of the shadow, the author invokes Freud’s theory of the death drive to explain the sources of destructiveness in a scarred psycho-affective history and the hatred engendered by the scars. Lastly, Jung’s ideas about evil and the figure of the self are considered. The definition of evil is examined and coordinated with destructiveness, with the archetypal dynamic of the shadow and the shadow of the self. The basic theme the author emphasizes is that the recognition and acceptance of destructiveness as an intrinsic and undeniable reality can lead to a space filled with unconditional love and a form of humanity.
