The Secret History of the War for Independence or Algeria’s « Third War », This book is an attempt to chronologically analyze the manipulation of the Algerian military regime into the political life and evolution of the people of Algeria. It is based on previously published witness accounts, notably those of Nesroulah Yous and Habib Souaidia and, to a greater degree, Colonel Mohamed Samraoui, who played an important role in the manipulation affair of the 1990’s. The book also uses a wide variety of sources, for example the websites Algeriawatch, MAOL (Algerian Movement of Free Officers), and ANP.org as well as interviews with numerous participants and witnesses.
