Excerpts from the 2004 report on Algeria, The annual report from Amnesty International documented the status of human rights in 155 countries and territories in 2003. It gives an overview of the evolution of human rights violations for each geographical region and presents the principal themes dealt with by Amnesty International (violence against women, social, economic and cultural rights, justice, protection of refugees and migrants). We have published excerpts of this report concerning the three countries that make up the Maghreb.
