RésuméBien étudiée par les sociologues nord-américains, spécialement par des féministes, la problématique des femmes battues qui tuent ne suffit pas à expliquer toutes les situations dans lesquelles une femme tue son conjoint. Cet article est centré sur un cas clinique dans lequel la notion ne s’applique pas telle quelle, et montre comment une femme indépendante, désignée comme « masculine », peut régresser vers une pensée dominée quand cette aliénation est liée à ses identifications primaires les plus archaïques. L’objectif est de dépasser l’opposition habituelle entre sociologie féministe et psychologie clinique, et de montrer comment une analyse clinique peut éclairer l’approche sociologique.

Well studied by North American sociologists, most of them feminist, the concept of the « battered woman who kills » doesn’t explain all situations in which a woman kills her intimate partner. This paper focuses on a clinical case where this concept does not apply as such, and shows how an independant and so-called « masculine » woman can regress into dominated thought, when this alienation is related to her primary, and most archaic, identifications. The purpose is to get over the usual opposition between feminist sociology and clinical psychology, and to show how clinical analysis can enlight the sociological approach.
