Cette émergence émotionnelle du temps correspond à un mouvement d’intégration de la psyché et du soma pour le bébé. Par contre, ce temps est évacué quand le bébé est confronté à des souffrances trop importantes. Une dissociation entre le corps et le mental se réalise alors, comme dans les processus psychosomatiques ou autistiques, avec des anxiétés primitives et un temps « hors psyché ».
