The objective of our work is to carry out an analysis of the implications between the body, the drive, and the real through ORLAN’s artistic production. The notion of sublimation, and its relation to the real and the Thing (das Ding), is essential in order to reflect on the relation between the body, the drive, and the creative act. Therefore, creationist sublimation can trigger the constraint of repetition, animated by the death drive and translated by the subject’s encounter with the real of the Thing.

L’objectif de notre travail est d’entreprendre une analyse des implications entre le corps, la pulsion et le réel à travers la production artistique d’ORLAN. La notion de sublimation et son rapport au réel et à la Chose (das Ding), est essentiels pour réfléchir sur la relation entre le corps, la pulsion et l’acte créateur. Ainsi, la sublimation créationniste peut mettre en marche la contrainte de répétition, animée par la pulsion de mort et traduite par la rencontre du sujet avec le réel de la Chose.
