Au terme de ses activités de psychanalyste, l’auteur s’interroge ici sur son appartenance au mouvement jungien et sur la spécificité de ses concepts quant à leur application en psychanalyse. Elle estime, pour sa part, que les hypothèses théoriques de Jung, issues de sa pratique, ses réflexions sur l’engagement dans l’épreuve du transfert, l’importance donnée à l’expérience vécue ainsi qu’à la façon d’en rendre conscient les effets, l’accent mis sur le jeu des opposés, tour à tour créatifs et destructifs, dans tout acte de conscience, le concept d’individuation, ont constitué la base de son engagement et fourni les bases d’un dialogue fécond avec les autres sources de la psychanalyse.

Looking back on her experience as a psychoanalyst, the author wonders about her affiliation with the Jungian movement, and the conceptual elements which distinguish this psychoanalytical school from others. She sums them up as follows: Jung’s theories, based on practice; his reflections on commitment to the transference process; the importance granted to real-life experience as well as the ways of consciously perceiving its effects; the emphasis placed on the interplay of opposites, with their creative and destructive powers, in any conscious act; and the concept of individuation.
