Dans cet article, nous nous intéressons aux relations fille-mère dans le cas où la fille ne réussit pas à devenir mère (l’infertilité, ici, n’a pas d’étiologie médicale diagnostiquée). Nous présentons, tout d’abord, une étude théorique centrée sur ces deux thèmes. Puis l’étude clinique analyse deux témoignages de femmes présentant ce symptôme. Elle révèle « le ravage » entre elles et leur mère, avec ses aspects communs mais aussi ses variations inhérentes à la singularité de chacune. Ces femmes ne peuvent se servir de leur père pour se détacher de leur mère. L’infertilité, dans leur discours, devient un moyen de se différencier d’elle.

Infertility, a vicissitude of relations between daughter and mother, a theorical and clinical studyin this article, we are interested in relations between daughter and mother when the daughter can’t become a mother (infertility, here, has no medical diagnosed origin). We first present a theorical study about both subjects. Then, the clinical study analyses two testimonies from women presenting this symptom. It shows « ravage » between them and their mother, with his common aspects and his variations. These women can’t use their father to separate from their mother. Infertility, in their speechs, become a way to feel different from her.
