This article specifically addresses the running of a local food distribution committee, implemented to manage the food crisis in Guidan Roumji, an administrative center in the region of Maradi, Mali. It elucidates the internal running of the committee as well as its relationship with populations and other local institutions (local chieftaincy, local political leaders, Islamic associations, grain banks, the town council, etc.).
