In spite of the movement in French society towards mixity, segregated social spaces continue to exist, in particular in the professional world. In the name of the equality, and sometimes more prosaically for economic reasons, women are pushed to move into areas where men are hegemonic or undertake tasks that were previously the sole preserve of men. In the course of twenty-six interviews aimed at understanding the processes of integration, women reveal men’s use of sexuality and sexual violence, giving a perception of the gender system at work.
