This article intends to analyze the individual trajectory of these two protagonists in the light of their union, from which emerged numerous reciprocal influences. The study of this marriage also investigates many themes of European socialism of the turn of the century, such as its relationship to the bourgeoisie, to the feminist struggle and to the emergence of popular education.
