INSERM’s Report on Psychotherapies: Some Observations
Type de matériel :
77
How to analyze INSERM’s recent report on psychotherapies? The author suggests first to contextualize it. Thus, institutional networks, ideological layers, and political and economic functions can immediately be observed: notably, an attempt at codification ( stricto sensu, in AFNOR’s terms) of therapy practices, through the imperialism of a psychological naturalism. Then, by analyzing the rationales behind its writing, we note how the most openly behaviorist experts have appropriated the current theoretical crisis of psychiatry and imposed their framework by trying to naturalize it, to make it performative. The author tries to highlight the euphemistic nature of a discourse nevertheless aimed at the relegation of subjects, and at avoiding the deep and historical disagreements that have existed in the field of clinical assessment since psychoanalysis was introduced.
