What are the effects and impacts of adolescence on family life and the family structure? What is then expected and required from intersubjectivity? Several authors on group psychoanalysis have identified adolescence as a period of threat for collective narcissism, the latter being then required to change. This article aims at reconsidering these questions in the light of a specific clinical case study. To this end, we will notably highlight some concepts dear to group psychoanalysis, such as “the psychic envelope,” “the containing function,” and “identification.”
