The nothing man and the transference of the analyst or Four hand variations on the romance of an unemployed

From a clinic supporting people in distress as a result of long-term unemployment, we question the unique construction of the transference of the clinician and that of the analyst in three sections. In the first section, the case of Alain in his lamentation of the nothing man allows us to read the shame mixed with the tragicomic fantasies of a real structured novel of an unemployed person, with structural reversals, as and through a neurotic family novel. In the second section, the shadow of the clinician in the transference allows us to consider the symbolic link between the transference of the subject and that of the clinician revealed and analyzed by the game of duplicate naming. In the third section, the fragments of the didactics allow us to underline the duplication effects in writing under transference which reveal a continuation of the analyst’s training. Thus, the transference of the clinician as well as that of the analyst sometimes borrow the duplicated figures as operators of their analysis.
