Past and present institutional interventions

After recalling some of the milestones in the modelization of institutional interventions proposed by Jean Claude Rouchy, the article offers an analysis of its essential concepts: the differentiation between training and intervention, the centrality of the notion of setting and the role of the intervener. The different intervention settings are then distinguished (analysis of practices, supervision, consultation, institutional analysis), which are the key markers of the model. Finally, in the last part, the article shows the current limits of the modelization when faced with the upheavals affecting the frame and metaframe of institutions. The disintegration of structures as well as the erasure of the instituted team organizers calls for the construction of new theoretical/methodological frames and the creation of pertinent settings. The question of intervention is thus of great present relevance and constitutes an interminable project.
