Bruno Cotte is a former French judge at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Honorary President of the Criminal Division of the Cour de Cassation. He has held the highest judicial and criminal positions at both national and international level. Today, he remains as active as ever on issues of international criminal justice, contributing through his insights and expertise in a variety of forums. In an interview with Confluences Méditerranée, we touch upon the extraordinary involvement of the ICC and national courts in the investigation and prosecution of crimes committed in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This mobilisation raises questions about the capacity to prosecute those most responsible, but also about the capacity or willingness to replicate the same efforts in other conflicts.
