Three generations to escape the darkness

Intergenerational transmission, driven by family history, can produce new and unexpected results in each generation. By silencing family histories, family trauma destroys the creative potential of each generation by making this transmission a purely repetitive system with no room for any questions. The passage of time, instead of leading to actualization, becomes an inescapable destiny, because family history is reduced to its traumatic dimension.Against this background, the author uses clinical examples to explore this concept, discussing his own therapeutic journey, which involved a collective reweaving of family history. The proposed new framework delimits a therapeutic space that brings together several generations.
