Apart from the pain that strikes like lightning and leaves the individual paralysed, paralysed and condemned to curl up on himself, which is an extreme experience of distress and total impotence, an experience of desolation and despair, there is a wide range of people who experience pain. Starting from the lightning pain which, in our opinion, is the first subjectivating or, to be more precise, pre-subjective experience (a condition for the emergence of subjectivity), we will try to describe the ways in which this wide range of pain can be constructed. And we will pay particular attention to the crucial place that others take on, the different roles they can play and the multiple interventions they can carry out.
