This publication is rooted in a psychoanalytically oriented doctoral action-research project that we conducted in a carceral environment, in an integration and probation service for convicted domestic violence perpetrators. In this article, we question how the psychoanalytic group device with Photolangage® mediation provides a possible holding and promotes a psychic reworking in relation to the victim of their violence, supported by unconscious alliances. We analyze a group session from the point of view of unconscious alliances, as well as the intersubjective group space between the participants.
