Divine breastfeeding: The case of Hera and Heracles

The expansion and strength of this story has survived to the present day in iconographic and literary evidence. During the life of the hero, the relationship was characterized in terms of mutual violence. After the apotheosis of Heracles, Hera, voluntarily, is key to his entry into Olympus. My main objective is to analyse through the classical sources, what role breastfeeding played in this major transformation.
