This article introduces some theoretical-clinical reflections relating to marital therapy with a male homosexual couple. The traumatism caused to the parents by the sexual orientation of the son, whether of an individual or family nature, has repercussions on marital life. The paternal imago as a shared psychic production of the couple is omnipresent during therapy sessions. The process of individuation and subjectivation of each member of the couple seems hampered by the hold exerted by one of the families.
