Representations of Parenthood and Terms of Address within Lesbian Parent Families
Type de matériel :
50
Looking at a series of surveys conducted from 1997 to 2015 with lesbian couples having chosen to have children, the article looks at their representations of parenthood by examining the designations adopted to describe the bonds (as with mothers, fathers, parents, etc.) and the terms of address (mum, dad, daddy, mammy, etc.) established with the child. The terms of address and descriptions of such bonds seem to provide particularly relevant indicators to address the way lesbian mothers, subjects as they are like everyone else to the standards relating to our exclusive model of parenthood (a father, a mother and no-one else), articulate compliance with the standard of the marital and parental project and innovations as faced with the heteronormative and exclusive model of filiation.
