How can the clinician think and welcome the present when, against a backdrop of terrorist unease, the aftermath is still slow to manifest itself? How can he or she communicate on the unthinkable nature of such violence while it is still knocking at the door and resonating within us? Through “associative clinical-fictional” writing, the author proposes to identify some lines of thought on the effects of counter-transference and societal violence in order to facilitate the interior, collective and singular crossover to serve clinical treatment, that will inevitably end up linking ordinary violence and extraordinary events.
