This article is a real testimony of an adoptive father. The author wrote this text a few years ago, after he had adopted a baby boy. As a father, he reports his own feelings, fantasies and thoughts from the reasons and decision of adoption to the lasting approval process and until, finally, the first encounter with his future son. He relates also the reactions of his wife, their relatives and acquaintances. After the arrival of the baby, he lets us understand how the filiation link builds up and underlines a specific aspect which is rarely tackled in such a circumstance: the emotional and body language.
