Welcoming ghosts into family sessions
Type de matériel :

Through a detailed clinical presentation, the author describes the psychic course of a mother and her teenage daughter following the father’s death. The emergence of paranormal phenomena, and thus the use of parapsychological theories suggested by the family during the interviews, open a potential and transitional area, enabling the suspension of the grieving process and the questioning of the assignments as a legacy left by the ancestors, notably including psychic powers for some members of the family. The sessions, haunted by the father’s and the grandmother’s presence, shed a light on the family alliances and pacts, and enable their exploration and the reorganization of intrafamilial and intergenerational links, until the resolution through an object of relation, which, by figuring and containing the various elements at stake, determines the potential area and symbolically closes the psychic course of the family.
