Dans cet article, il va s’agir de montrer en quoi la figure du fou est à préserver dans le contemporain malgré sa disparition des discours psychiatriques et sa réduction en un malade des gènes ou du comportement. Plus encore, il va s’agir de prouver que cette figure est toujours subversive et apparaît comme une revendication absolue du sujet à pouvoir procéder à l’élaboration perpétuelle de ses modes de subjectivation, à partir d’une vérité propre, hors de tout discours établi : la parrêsia.

In this article, we will question the new perspective that has been materializing in parts of contemporary psychiatry and psychology, where the subject suffering from mental disease is put in a new position that tends to re-educate rather than to respect and listen to their subjectivity. We will investigate the relevance of identifying the figure of the madman – the patient who cannot fit in this new psychiatry – as the bearer of a certain critical truth: the parresia.
