En considérant dans l’après coup ses expériences cliniques d’accompagnement groupal de professionnels qui souhaitent analyser leur pratique et d’accompagnement d’apprentis chercheurs (ou de chercheurs) qui souhaitent produire des écrits de recherche, l’auteur examine l’un des traits caractéristiques de sa posture psychique d’accompagnante. Elle a recours à la notion de capacité négative introduite par Wilfred Ruprecht Bion pour décrire cette disposition psychique congruente avec la forme de travail psychique qu’elle impulse pour les participants de ces groupes. Puis elle avance l’hypothèse d’un lien entre la mise en œuvre de sa propre capacité négative pendant l’animation de ces groupes d’accompagnement et l’émergence (ainsi que leur développement) d’insights créateurs chez les accompagné-es. Cette posture serait à même de favoriser leur potentiel de création dans la mesure où leurs modalités narcissiques leur permettraient de tolérer en eux la survenue de sentiments liés à ce que Bion nomme le changement catastrophique.

Clinical support and negative capabilityConsidering in hindsight her clinical experiences while accompanying groups of professionals who wish to analyse their practice, as well as her experiences while supporting forming researchers, or those who want to produce research literature, the author examines one of her characteristics in the psychic role of accompanying. The work uses the concept of “negative capability” introduced by W.R. Bion in order to describe this psychic disposition congruent with the type of psychic work that impulse the participants in these groups. It then advances the hypothesis of a link between the implementation of her own negative capability during the animation of these support groups and the emergence (and the development) of creative insights in participating members. This posture would be able to promote their creative potential as far as their narcissistic modes would allow them to tolerate the occurrence of feelings related to what Bion calls the “catastrophic change”.
