Le champion sportif fait aujourd’hui figure d’ultime héros de la post-modernité. L’atteinte de l’excellence sportive puis la condamnation à l’exploit sans cesse renouvelé qui en découle, se traduisent souvent en clivage et en aménagement défensif du registre addictif (pratiques d’incorporation et gel affectif). Gouverné par des impératifs de rentabilité performative, avec un surinvestissement du corps biologique et une rationalisation systématique, le monde du sport d’élite laisse peu de place à la créativité et au travail du penser. La culture de l’endurance à la douleur et le non-dit de la plainte qui imprègnent ce milieu, potentialisent les vulnérabilités psychiques des postulants à la gloire pour finalement aboutir au règne du corpsmachine. Il est ainsi classique d’observer parmi la population des athlètes d’élite une clôture narcissique et une dépendance exclusive à leur enveloppe musculaire, investie tel un objet extérieur à soi. Un exemple clinique vient illustrer nos hypothèses.

It’s thus traditional to observe among the population of the elite athletes a narcissistic fence and an exclusive dependance with their muscular envelope, invested a such external object with oneself. A clinical example comes to illustrated our assumptions.
