During the therapeutic treatment of a young anorexic patient, the overpowering presence of sensations of heat and cold is there to fight against anxiety of depersonalization, but also to translate the presence of pubertal, infantile, and archaic feelings into the impossibility of their being subjectivized. The establishment of specific affinities between the achaic and pubertal registers promotes, in a very regressive way, the dominance of the most primitive ways of representing to the detriment of more elaborated forms which psychotherapy has gradually differentiated.
