Type de matériel :
72
This paper studies Athenian inscriptions of the Classical and Hellenistic periods. It aims to collect and discuss the words referring to architects. These verbs express the actions that the city requires of architects and those that architects require of other agents. The next step is to study the subjects that relate to the architects and their role in the polis organization. Finally, we investigate the functions of the ‘officials’ named in Athenian inscriptions as architects epi ta hiera, epi ten oikodomian and epi tas naus.
