With a re?examination of the main monuments of Pergamon and the analysis of monographs and detailed studies on this subject, Filippo Coarelli’s new book pre­sents the first global approach to this vast complex, distributed on terraces, with particular attention to buildings and ceremonies intended to exalt the power of the sovereigns and their protective divinities.
