Our research consisted in evaluating the interference of the perception of the family unit in families where children have eczema. Helped by a new projective tool and using the children’s drawings of their dream house, we compared 28 drawings of children with eczema to 28 drawings of a normal group. Our results show that the children with eczema depict a significant diminution of individual spaces in their dream homes. This shows a lack of autonomy. The lack of identity landmarks could help explain their eczema.
