The Application of Gender Mainstreaming in Local Employment Policy

This article analyses the implementation of gender mainstreaming through the example of projects and regional and departmental employment programmes for the European Social Fund, which makes gender equality a criterion for funding. It highlights the new dynamics introduced by this method among agents of the Employment Public Service ( spe), mainly through the actions of women already won to the cause of gender equality. It points out both the organisational and social obstacles to a real integration of equality as a goal in project management.
