The study of socialisation and of the constraints relating to the construction of gender within groups of boys offers a new perspective on the plurality of gender models. This survey focuses on the physical socialisation of boys in CM2 (Year 5 of primary school), and charts the diversity and variability of playful male physical practices in the school environment. The modes in which the body is brought into play in the physical practices studied play a central role in the internalisation and classification of differentiated forms of masculinity.
