Sexitud: Appropriation relationships and genocidal practices. A reading of Colette Guillaumin by Angélica Gorodischer

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2020. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This article questions the reading of Colette Guillaumin’s thought by Argentinian feminist writer Angélica Gorodischer based on one of her lectures in 2005 on the “control of bodies”. It also examines the topicality of this materialist thought in Argentina through its publication, ten years later, in the Mora journal. In both cases, it focuses on the critique of the naturalist ideology and on the revelation of the social, political and economic violence that perpetuates the performativity of the categorizations stemming from this ideology. Sexage can only be understood within this continuum of symbolic and material violence. The underlying hypothesis is that the convergences observed in this limited corpus are one example among other possibilities, since Argentine feminist thought intersects in many ways with materialist thought, which is very much present in the Argentinian context.
