Given the growing importance of the issue of professional conduct in the law, it seems useful to examine the legal value of these rules of conduct. The study proposes to observe the phenomenon of the transformation of these ethical rules into legal rules (as opposed to the idea of “private” or non-legal ethics). The question is then raised of whether the inclusion of these rules into the law is appropriate. After setting out the reasons and justifications for this trend, the dangers and potential difficulties are identified and discussed.
