Using the example of a therapeutic group in a rehabilitation center, the author explores the links between issues encountered within an individual’s professional practice and his or her subjective construction. It is hypothesized that through the reactualization of the first object relations in the transferential movements within the group, as well as the elaboration of resistance, the group can become a place of expression of the patient’s psychological issues. The group can then enable a change in the individual’s psychology, paving the way for a new subjective appropriation and enabling the individual to identify the unconscious choices that have been made in the workplace.
