Omnipotence, created by early narcissistic totalization, presupposes a specific relationship with the object, which leads to the hypothesis of the totalitarian position. The issue is the paradoxical management of omnipotence in the relationship. The subject is still dependent on the object, but this is invested only narcissistically. The subject’s omnipotence is nothing but an illusion maintained by the object, which maintains internal cohesion. Therefore, the omnipotence is not possible without the object, but the subject experiences it as a triumph over the object.
