Taking as a starting point the reception of a psychology trainee within a crisis wing of a psychiatric department, we address her work over a period of six months as she follows the case of a young man, hospitalized, and presenting with infantile psychosis. This clinical encounter has given rise to reflection due to the “good enough freedom” offered by both her two referents. Later on, collaboration between the three of them made a greater development of the institution possible, thus revealing the unthought part in the history of this wing, where the question of transmission and the signifier “emptiness” would have been the trail of bread-crumbs for these shared ideas.
