Between Freud and Federn: Sharing Culture
Type de matériel :
82
Freud’s interest or even passion for culture in its various aspects is nowadays quite well known. However, through the correspondence between Sigmund Freud and Paul Federn, consisting of 147 cards and letters, some previously unpublished, we propose to bring out the quality of their relationship based on their common interest in culture. More than a colleague, Federn was both Freud’s right arm institutionally in Vienna, as well as a trusted person to whom he addressed some of his patients. In addition to the historical interest offered by this correspondence, these letters bring to the surface tensions around theoretical investigations which, from yesterday to today, continue to affect psychoanalysis.
