This article explores a clinical orientation of work on trauma that aims to make a naming possible not through the transplantation of affects, or finding sense, or through a work of narrativity, but instead by offering a form of representation that embeds an absence in a hole. Using an artistic installation, Eclipse by Oscar Muñoz, it will question the issues of photographic creation in a ternary configuration involving the spectator, the image taker, and the work itself. This form of representation can more broadly be read as a metaphor of a creation in the transference that can determine a zone of indetermination and enigma into which desire can sneak.
