Family Mediation: Another Kind of Communication between the Child and Separated Parents

Family mediators have long hesitated to bring children into family mediation. They saw the risk of children being used in the parental conflict during judicial examination. Today, experiments show that it is possible to bring children into family mediation with a revised approach. The article presents four types of mediation which define children’s positions and specific systems of mediation. These experiments enable us to better assess what is really occurring inside a family dealing with the couple’s separation.
