Family Mediation: Process, System, and Method
Type de matériel :
35
With a pluralistic approach to conflict, seen in both its human and material dimensions, family mediation offers the possibility of freedom and otherness, where new modes of functioning may be constructed for today’s families. Its aim is to preserve, by means of high-quality communication, the bonds which must weather the crisis. It prefers to seek solutions which are arrived at in common, responding to each party’s needs. To do that, family mediation proposes a specific framework and process, carried out by a specific procedure (internal work on himself or herself done by each party throughout the mediation), initiated by the mediator, and to which the parties have decided to commit themselves.
