Through the clinical case of an obese teenager, the Authors defend that the individual’s body image reveals a function of containing to give a representation of the dynamic structure of the family group. The transgenerational dimension would be one of primal vectors of addictive behaviors, using the body as first formal object. Using her/his physical envelope, the subject realizes an ultimate attempt to formalize an unthinkable representation in relation with the genealogy of the family body.
