Since the 1980', the concept of mediation in the information science field has been focused on from the activities of the documentation professionals. The aim of this research is to analyse various models of mediation that are used by professionals, considering theories and survey data that have been collected in the field of school librarianship. It investigates the information and communication science epistemology of this concept of mediation, in order identify several new forms of mediation in the professional practices.
