Multimedia and Cinephilia: Using Video Sequences Reflects the Expansion of Writing Practices. The Example of Three Bloggers

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2012. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The purpose of this article concerns the relationship between "multimedia" kind of writing (Seguy, 2000) and "ordinary cinephilia" (Jullier and Leveratto, 2010). The underlying problem is about logic and social stakes of " the mediatization of cultural practices via ICT" (Miege, 2007). The main hypothesis is that the use of "multimedia writings" reveals expansions in the individual steps of cinephilia’s writing. By mobilizing a methodological approach between the sociology of cinema (Ethis, 2005) and the social uses of ICT (Jouët, 2001), the analysis is focused on the writing practices of three movie bloggers and more specifically their uses of video clips in the writing of "notes". A monographical reconstruction of all case studies is presented, taking care to put into perspective the long time individual write practices with the multimedia uses of the blog.
