Since its origins, humankind has tried to progress in its humanity. Social work, for its part, tries to make up for the shortcomings of economic and political organizations that leave people by the wayside, excluded from social life, ignored, abandoned. The testimony I am trying to write after forty-two years of social work from the streets to integration through (with) economic activity is simply intended to draw attention to l’Humain d’abord and our role of awakening and alerting the public to the issues faced by these people, wherever we are. I also want to highlight that the schemes and structures remain activist services.
