Juvenile justice has never stopped evolving. Repressive and educational measures show that protecting juvenile offenders and punishing them translates into coercion and compliance. With the Ordinance of 45, a judicial sanction is, above all, educational, and justice is neither lax nor devoid of authority. Juvenile justice is a social watchdog and a challenge to adults in the making, without being devoid of paradoxes.
