The significant development of active pedagogies for teaching entrepreneurship in schools and universities raises the question of how to measure their impact on entrepreneurial learning. Thus, this articles aims to identify, adopting an exploratory approach, the effects of active training on student perceptions about entrepreneurial activity. The research is based on an active learning course called MIME that focuses on three key learning mechanisms: the problem/situation, practical experience, and the iterative and incremental construction of knowledge. The results show that a method based on active learning can work as a trigger in changing student perceptions of their own beliefs and knowledge about entrepreneurial activity. By working on the changing of individuals' perceptions, it acts as a motivational accelerator to engage students in a more longitudinal learning process in entrepreneurship. The results of the study demonstrate the importance of the use of active teaching methods to support students in acquiring the entrepreneurial mindset.
