If it is true that each emotion corresponds to a modification of the chemical organization of the brain, it is also necessary to specify that it is connected to the way the person perceives the world, to his memory, personality, psycho-affective maturation and relational skills. One of the purposes of “psychomotor” therapy is to offer body experience that allows the patient to feel, externalize and share feelings, that help him to recognize these feelings and have him (her) accept them as his (hers), instead of being overwhelmed and undermined by them therefore having them impeach his (her emotional development. Understanding the link between emotions and psychomotor disorders is a way of approaching these emotions, in a care based on body language and dialogue.
